Action at Table 40 is paused while the other tables continue to sling chips. There is a situation where the wrong players was shipped a pot worth 5,200 and some dispute about what actually happened.

Tournament staff are all over the situation and they are looking at the tapes. No more hands can be dealt until the pot is corrected so they’re spending their down time replaying the hand, continually and with gusto.

There are 33 players ed midway through Level 2 with one more hour of late registration and re-entry.

If you want to try your luck at Pot Limit Omaha, today is the day for you at the Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open” as Event 9, a $350 PLO Double Stack tournament will start at 12 p.m. sharp in The Poker Room at Seminole Hard Rock. This event has a $15,000 Guarantee and players will start with 16,000 in chips. Levels are 40 minutes in length and players may and/or re-enter for the first three levels. Play will continue until 2 a.m. or the final table, whichever comes first.

In the evening, we have our first flight of Event 10, a $250,000 Guaranteed $350 No Limit Hold ‘Em Deep Stack tournament. This will be the first of five flights leading to the final day on Sunday, November 24th. We’re expecting a huge prize pool so don’t miss your chance to in on the action. The tournament has 30 minute levels on the first day of play and players will start with 20,000 in chips, or an amazing 400 big blinds. Players can re-enter/ on any start day until the end of Level 4 and in addition can play in any of the five flights with the largest surviving stack being the stack that carries forward to Sunday. Play will conclude at the end of day 1 at the end of Level 14 or when 12% of the field remains, which ever comes first.

It will be a busy day today at The Poker Room at Seminole Hard Rock. Not only do we have two tournaments that will get underway, but we also have the conclusion to Event 6 that will take place at 1 p.m. When play ended at 3 a.m. there were 13 players left with Andrew Frier leading the way with 212K in chips. Close behind is a player who flopped quads, Norman Guigui, with 202.5K.

A big guarantee is in store for Event 7, a $500 + $60 Buy In No Limit Hold ‘Em tournament that will start at noon. This tournament has a $50,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool and alternates and late sign ups will be allowed to enter during the first six levels. Re-entry will be allowed for nine levels. It’s a deep stack tournament to say the least as players will start with 20,000 in chips which is 400 big blinds at the first level. Levels are 30 minutes in length. Play will continue until the final table or 3 a.m., which ever comes first.

At 6 p.m., Event 8, a $100 + $100 Bounty + $40 No Limit Hold ‘Em (Black Chip Bounty) tournament will start. This event is a bounty tournament where players will receive a black chip worth $100 for every player they eliminate. The tournament has a $15,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool (bounties are part of the prize pool) and registration is open until the end of level 4. Levels are 30 minutes long and players start with 6,000 in chips. Play will continue until the final table, or 3 a.m., which ever comes first.

Event 12 ($240 PLO-8) Rescheduled to a 3:00 pm Start 1z605t

Due to the massive field in Event 7 ($560 NLHE w/ $1 Million Guarantee), there won’t be enough room for some of the other tournaments until the field shrinks a bit.

So the start time for Event 12 ($240 PLO-8) has been bumped back from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

The restart time for Event 10 ($240 HORSE) has also been rescheduled to 3:00 pm, for the same reason.

(July 18, 2013) – Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino has added the World Poker Tour®  WPT Alpha8™ Florida Super High-Roller Tournament to its Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open (SHRPO) series schedule running August 8 – 29, 2013. The new $100,000 buy-in Event #23 will start on August 26 at noon at Hard Rock Live. Viewers will be able to watch the WPT Alpha8 Florida final table before it airs on TV streamed live on www.WPT.com on August 27. The SHRPO $10 Million Guaranteed Championship Event will run August 22-28.

WPT Alpha8™ is an all-new, global series of super high-roller poker tournaments to be broadcast on FOX Sports 1 beginning in March 2014. Held in some of the world’s most prestigious venues in North America, Europe, Asia, and South Africa, each event will feature a buy-in of at least $100,000. Tournament structures designed by WPT Executive Tour Director Matt Savage will ensure plenty of play at all levels throughout the event and allow World Poker Tour to provide four hours of televised action where viewers can watch the game’s very best players compete for millions of dollars in prize money and unprecedented bragging rights.

SHRPO’s $5,300 buy-in Championship Event, running August 22 – 28, offers players the chance to cash-in one of the guaranteed top 300 places in order to share in the $10 million prize pool. At the minimum, the winner of the SHRPO Championship Event will receive $1.5 million, and another $1 million is guaranteed for the second-place finisher. A total of $5.15 million of the total is guaranteed for the nine final table players.

Beginning August 8, viewers will be able to watch live streaming action of the SHRPO series at seminolehardrockpokeropen.casinowinning.net and can take-in all of the excitement of the Championship Event in Paradise Live on August 28 starting at noon, where players will compete for the title and the winner’s share of a guaranteed $10 million prize pool.
