Dejan Petkovic Wins Event 12 of the 2023 Lucky Hearts Poker Open In Three-Way Chop 20e5o

2023 Lucky Hearts Poker Open Event 12 Champion Dejan Petkovic

Event 12 of the 2023 Lucky Hearts Poker Open was the multi-flight $200 Big Stack No-Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry). A field of 2,325, entries over six starting flights produced a prize pool of $372,000, nearly doubling the guarantee.

A three-way deal chop was made at the final table and Dejan Petkovic was the chip leader, making him the official winner for $42,962.

Petkovic began Day 2 slightly above average stack, coming back 90th of the 235 returning players. When play was at the final two tables, Petkovic was very short-stacked, but managed to crack aces with queen-ten to get back in the mix. He was 8 out of 9 when the final table began, but quickly chipped up and held the lead for most of the time, before ultimately proposing the even chop.

This marked Petkovic’s fourth SHRP major series final table made and first SHRP trophy victory.
