Event 22 of the 2022 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown was the $400 Seniors 50+ No-Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry). A field of 268 entries produced a prize pool of $89,780, nearly doubling the $50,000 guarantee. Taking it down outright was James Calderaro, earning $20,265 for the victory.

With a World Poker Tour title and a World Series of Poker bracelet on his mantle already, Calderaro added his first SHRP major series trophy to that tonight.

“I beat the best players in the world tonight, the old guys,” said Calderaro afterward. “Next, I’m gonna knock off the young kids.”

The score puts Calderaro just why of the $4.9 million mark in career live tournament winnings, according to the Hendon Mob poker database.

On the first hand of heads-up play, James Calderaro limped for 100,000 and Jeffrey Miller raised all in for 1,525,000. Calderaro called and tabled , leading Miller’s .

The board ran out , safe for Calderaro to get the outright win for $20,265.

Registration closed for the Poker Showdown Seniors 50+ Event and it drew 268 entries for the $400 buy-in tournament. That was good enough for the third-biggest Seniors Event in our history and they nearly doubled the $50,000 guarantee into an $89,780 prize pool.

The last 34 players will earn some money with $620 for a min-cash and $20,265 to the Seniors Event champ.
