The LHPO High Roller drew 41 entries to slide past the $1,000,000 guarantee and seven players return today to play down to a champion.

With a $40K jump between 8th place and 7th place, there was an extended bubble at the final table and their Day 1 came to an end when Alex Turyansky was eliminated by Jared Jaffee.

That was enough to give Jaffee a big overnight lead holding 1,325,000 with Ping Liu’s 765,000 the closest. But all seven players have talent and anyone can win.

The final eight players battled for about two-and-a-half hours before bursting the Money Bubble when Jared Jaffee knocked out Alex Turyansky on a bad beat.

With nine players left, Jaffee himself was knocked down to just nine big blinds when his ace-king couldn’t catch up to Ping Liu’s pocket aces, but Jaffee slowly worked his way back, and when he won the last hand of the night, it gave him a big chip lead heading into Day 2.
