Hollywood, Fla. (January 20, 2017) – Event 7 of the 2017 Lucky Hearts Poker Open, a $570 Double Black Chip Bounty NLH/PLO (Single Re-Entry), drew 70 entries and generated a prize pool of $21,000 . Only the final table of 9 players made the money and after just shy of 10 hours of play, Mark Wahba emerged victorious for $7,350.

“I play a lot of cash PLO, and I enjoy tournament PLO too,” Wahba told us after his win. “Anytime there’s a tournament that involves PLO I’ll try to play it. I skipped the Main Event today just so I could play this one. I had this one in mind to play for a while.”

The Ohio native now has more than $240,000 in tournament winnings, and this marked his third career cash at the Seminole Hard Rock. What brought him down south for the Lucky Hearts Poker Open?

“The beach,” laughed Wahba. “I’m from Cleveland, so I came down to to get away from the cold and the snow. I’m enjoying it so far, and a little more now.”

Now that the WPTDeepStacks Main Event has moved to the second flight, we have more side events running for those who already found a bag and want to mix it up in the ballroom.

Event 7 is a $570 buy-in tournament that will switch between No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha with a $200 bounty on each player’s head. Knock someone out, pick up two black casino cash chips.

Each entrant will sit down to a 15,000 starting stack and play 30-minute levels. Late registration is open until the start of Level 9 at 7:30 and players are limited to a single re-entry option if they lose their stack. They are scheduled to play it out in one day so we’ll have our next LHPO champ by the end of the night.
