With Event 10 getting into the money, we popped our heads into the smaller meeting room to check on the $1,650 Purple Chip Bounty gang that is closing on its first break.

The entrant count stands at 87 to easily sur the $100,000 guarantee with more than four more hours to .

We found Brian Phillis, TK Miles, David Diaz, Daren Stabinski, and Cathy Dever in action along with Seminole Hard Rock Poker team Sheddy Siddiqui, Darryll Fish, and Cate Hall.

We’ll grab a round of chip counts during the break and see who’s doing well early.

Event 12: Big Bounties 1o5947

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em (Single Re-Entry)
Level 1: 25/50

The second bounty tournament on today’s schedule is a big one. Event 12 has a $1,650 buy-in with a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool and a $500 bounty on every player’s head.

Knock someone out, get a purple $500 cash chip. Easy game.

Bounty tournaments are generally a little more aggressive than normal, they loosen up for the chance to pocket money long before the bubble. But this one will be a little more cautious because of the bigger buy-in and also there is only a single re-entry option if a player is busted out.

Players sit down to 12,000 starting stacks and the first ten levels are 30 minutes long. Late registration and that single re-entry are available until the start of Level 11, when they return from dinner at 9pm, and they switch to 40-minutes long. Day 1 will conclude after Level 16 and the remaining players will return tomorrow to play it out.
