The bag of Robert Rodrigues

We’re used to having players come late to tournament restarts, it’s the nature of the beast. Sometimes players just don’t want to get up at the early hour of 2pm.

But Roberto Rodrigues has us a little intrigued. Almost an hour into the Event 8 restart and his bag still sits with chips as the dealers blind him off.

There’s a reunion of sorts going on in the HORSE event. Kevin Love, who won Event 10 ($250 Omaha 8 or better) is in the hunt for his second victory of the Lucky Hearts Poker Open. Coincidentally,  fellow Event 10 final tablists Richard Holland, Joel Harwood and Jeff Cookson are also among the intimate HORSE field. While Love is all by his lonesome at Table 65, Holland, Harwood and Cookson are taking the reunion next level as they are seated together at Table 67.

Sergio Alves moved his lead higher in the early going. He made a move at the wrong time but was paid off.

We caught the action when Alves’ KsTs had Jesus Rosado all-in on the KcJh4s board. His top pair ran into the AhAd of Rosado and the As turn gave Rosado a set while giving Alves the first half of the backdoor flush draw.

The 3s river completed and Alves cracked aces to move up to 325,000.
