Event 20: Muhammad Rahim – 7th Place ($931) 461d1v

$300 Deep Stack Black Chip Bounty No Limit Holdem (Re-Entry)Level 24: Blinds 12,000/24,000/4,000 ante 3a5o71

It seemed like a harmless hand at the start. Five of the seven remaining players were in a limped pot to the 7s6h3c flop and Scott Hart checked first to act.

Muhammad Rahim shipped in from his former big blind spot for 217,000 and Jeffrey Postal let his hand go. Nick Pupillo decided he would stick around and called the bet.

Not to be left out of the fun, Tyler Thren moved all-in over the top and Hart ran away. Pupillo was covered by Thren and he called the second shove but at risk this time.

Rahim was the shortest and in trouble with Jh4d against Thren’s top-top Ad7c but even worse against Pupillo’s flopped straight 5c4c. Rahim was drawing dead and Thren was also after the 8c turn.

Pupillo moved into the chip lead, Thren dropped down with the average folk, and Rahim was sent out in 7th place for $931.

Event 18: To Flop Or Not To Flop 396u5j

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 17:  Blinds 2,000/4,000/500 ante

Bradley Young and James Calderaro continue to duke it out with Aditya Prasetyo and Patrick Peduto slowing losing ground.  But what’s been most interesting is the the players’ attempt to create a new game along the way.

Given Bradley Young’s apparent aversion to seeing flops, he and Calderaro have tried to get “No Flop” Poker added to the schedule next year.  They couldn’t quite figure out how many cards or if none should come out and they just bet away.

Of course, they could call it a night and head to the blackjack tables.  That might just do the trick.

Event 20: Steven Diamond – 8th Place ($677) 5vj53

$300 Deep Stack Black Chip Bounty No Limit Holdem (Re-Entry)
Level 23: Blinds 10,000/20,000/3,000 ante

Mike Dinardo ed the shove party but he survived when his AdKs flopped an Ace against Muhammad Rahim’s 4d4s but we didn’t have to wait long for another big pot.

It was Steven Diamond’s turn when he open-shoved for 95,000 and was called by Nick Pupillo and Tyler Thren.

“Come on guys, it’s just a $100 bounty!” Diamond joked.

Pupillo and Thren checked down the Td7c6h flop but Thren fired 80,000 after the 8c turn. Pupillo let it go and Thren showed Kh9d for the straight while Diamond had a flush draw with AcKc.

The river was a blank and Diamond was gone in 8th place for $677.

Event 20: Paulius Bikus – 9th Place ($649) 102q

$300 Deep Stack Black Chip Bounty No Limit Holdem (Re-Entry)
Level 23: Blinds 10,000/20,000/3,000 ante

There were several all-ins after Mixson was sent out but it took a few more hands before one was called.

Paulius Bikus was the next to take his shot when he opened shoved from the button only to find Jeffrey Postal with a hand. Postal called from the small blind with AcKh against Js2c.

Bikus has a brief glimpse of salvation when the dealer put the Jc in the window but the flop completed KcTd. He needed a lot of help but missed the Th turn and 9h river to go out in 9th place for $649.

Level 22: Blinds 8,000/16,000/2,000 ante

Action quickly escalated with a full table and there was a big hand right off the bat. Scott Hart was all-in preflop against Anthony Ocampo and in trouble with TcTs versus JhJs.

The flop or turn didn’t help but he spiked the Td on the river to double and stay alive.

Just a few hands later, Brad Mixson four-bet shoved for 273,000 after a Paulius Bikus open and Tyler Thren three-bet to 80,000.

Mixson let his hand go but Thren quickly called with AhAc to dominate QsQh. Mixson was already moving his stack on position to the right as the board ran out 9c9d4s5s2d to send him out in 10th place for $592.

For now, we play on here in Event 18.

$300 Deep Stack Black Chip Bounty No Limit Holdem (Re-Entry)
Level 22: Blinds 8,000/16,000/2,000 ante

It was a quick run to the payout desk but they were suddenly at the final table when Tyler Thren found a flop he appreciated.

There were still 12 players around when he was involved in a three-way all-in hand with Ari Engel and Ariel Rosello. Thren needed help with 8s8h against Rosello’s TdTs but short stacked Engel’s Th4d was in real trouble.

It was a quick end to the hand when the dealer spread 8d8c4s to lock up the hand for Thren. Engel was the shortest stack and they had to break down Rosello’s stack before the found Thren would get two black chips for the effort.

The final table is set and we will have the redraw shortly.

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 16:  Blinds 1,500/3,000/500 ante

Calderaro set him up and Bradley Young knocked him down.

Aaron Massey, who found himself on the short-stack, went over the top of Bradley Young for his tournament life and run into the bad news:

Massey: 8d8s
Young: QsQh

With Massey in major trouble, Young got a great flop of Ks7sAd leaving Massey looking for an 8. It was not to be with the 2cTs running out and in two hands Massey found himself packing up and headed to the payout cage in 5th place. Massey wins $6.766 and his collected bounties.
