Main Event Day 2: 15th place, Mark Gaudino – $8,676 3v1m6e

$1,500 + $150 Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘n’ Poker Open” Main Event

Blinds 6K/12K Antes 2K

A short stacked Mark Gaudino moved the last of his chips in with A-J and was called by a bigger stack out of the blinds with Ks4s. Gaudino was looking good to double up on the T-9-8 flop but it did contain two spades. The turn was a harmless 4 but the river was a third spade to send Mark to the cage to collect his $8,676 in winnings.

Main Event Day 2: 16th Place, Lenny Duvdivani – $7,447 6u3d1s

$1,500 + $150 Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘n’ Poker Open” Main Event

Blinds 6K/12K Antes 2K

Lenny Duvdivani opened the action and the player to his immediate left in Seat 7 moved all in. Seat 7 had Lenny covered and Duvdivani tanked for over five minutes prompting Nigel Murray to say “I don’t want to end the day with 200K, come on.” Darryl Fish from across the table asked Nigel to either call the clock or shut up and the two exchanged words for a moment before the floor stepped in and told them to stop. Another minute or two went by and just as Nigel was about to call the clock Lenny said “I call. I call.”

Lenny had pocket jacks and his opponent had AhQh. The flop came with a Queen and that would be the end of Duvdivani’s excellent tournament.

Main Event Day 2: 17th Place, Christopher Bolek – $7,447 6h6k2t

$1,500 + $150 Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘n’ Poker Open” Main Event

Blinds 5K/10K Antes 1K

Christopher Bolek min-raised to 20K from middle position and the big blind called. The flop came Jc2d2h and the big blind checked. Bolek moved all in and the big blind snap called with 6h2s for a big blind special. “It was only 10K more for me to see a flop,” he said. Bolek had pocket 6’s and was unable to hit the 1 outer for the win and is our 17th place finisher.

Main Event Day 2: Down To Two Tables, Payouts For 18th Through 27th 18411u

$1,500 + $150 Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘n’ Poker Open” Main Event

Blinds 5K/10K Antes 1K

We’re down to 17 players as three players busted out in a matter of moments. First it was James Hoeppner going out in 20th place when his KcQc could not outdraw the AdKs his opponent held. Hoeppner did pick up a flush draw on the flop but was unable to hit it. James is a long time tournament player with over $850,000 in winnings to his name. He adds another $6,507 with his finish today.

At another table, two players were eliminated in one hand. Philip Randazzo moved all in for 165K and was called for less by Fernando Diaz. A bigger stack in the 1 seat called both all ins. Randazzo had 5’s, Diaz 8’s, and the big stack A-K. A King on the turn would give Seat 1 the pot and Diaz is our 19th place finisher while Randazzo get a small pay increase by finishing in 18th.

Here are the payouts for 18th through 27th:

18th Philip Randazzo $7,447.00
19th Fernando Diaz $6,507.00
20th James Hoeppner $6,507.00
21st Matthew Mendez $6,507.00
22nd John Rhodes Jr. $5,856.00
23rd William Beasley $5,856.00
24th Marcus Harris $5,856.00
25th David Rheem $5,133.00
26th Benjamin Zamani $5,133.00
27th Steven Karp $5,133.00

Event 19: Final Table 2h1il

$120 + $30 No Limit Hold ‘Em (Double Stack Turbo)

Blinds 5K/10K Ante 1K

They are in the money and at the final table. 10 players remain and with the turbo structure it probably won’t be long before it’s over.

Main Event Day 2: Cracking Aces Is Fun 3i1o51

We caught up on the action with the board reading KhTs8c3hTc and a red all in button in front of Michael Mizrachi. Mizrachi’s opponent, Marcus Harris, only had 200K behind and was easily covered by Michael. “I told myself if you went all in you had nothing and that if you made a bit bet you had something,” said Harris as he contemplated his tournament life.

Grinder tells him “I tell you what, I’ll give you a picture.”

This seems to convince Marcus to call and he pushes his chips out on top of his cards. Mizrachi flips over AhTh for rivered trips. Harris meekly turns over his hand… Aces. Someone jokes that he can get that picture and he says with a small smile on his face “I don’t want no f***ing picture.” He sits there, not wanting to get up, staring at the payout card in front of him telling him that he finished in 24th place. “I should have went all in preflop,” he says, looking to the table for affirmation.

There are now 20 players left. Among the recently eliminated are Chino Rheem and Michael Beasley.

Main Event Day 2: Fish Doubles Through Stafman, Payouts For 28th Through 33rd 4o3k2h

$1,500 + $150 Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘n’ Poker Open” Main Event

Blinds 3K/6K Antes 1K

Three players including Tyler Stafman and Darryl Fish saw the flop in a 14K raised pre-flop pot. Fish was in the big blind and led out for 20K on the 9c7d6c flop. The pre-flop raiser got out of the way and Tyler raised to 50K. It was folded back to Darryl who put in a third bet to 175K. Stafman shoved all in and Fish made the call. Stafman held 8c7c for second pair with the open ended straight flush draw. A monster flop for his hand. Fish was in the lead though with his flopped set of 6’s. The turn gave Fish a full house but Stafman was not drawing dead as it was another 7. A 7, 8, 5c or Tc would eliminate Fish from the tournament. The river was a 5 and Fish scooped the massive pot to take his stack to 1.15 million, crippling Stafman in the process. Fish is neck and neck with Michael Mizrachi who won a huge pot when he cracked aces with a set of deuces. Local boy Nigel Murray has chipped up from a low point of 40K to over 500K after his pocket Aces held up.

Here are the 28th through 33rd place finishers:

28th Jason G. $4,483.00
29th Evan Teitelbaum $4,483.00
30th Ross Fischer $4,483.00
31st Jose Galvez $4,483.00
32nd Fariborz Zojaji $4,483.00
33rd Bruce Reid $4,483.00

Main Event Day 2: Tough Table 4i3n41

$1,500 + $150 Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘n’ Poker Open” Main Event

Blinds 3K/6K Antes 1K

We’re down to 27 players and one table you could say is a little bit on the tough side. In the 4 seat, Michael Mizrachi. The 6 seat has Chino Rheem occupying it. The 7 seat has the aforementioned Lenny Duvdivani. In the 8 seat is Matthew Waxman and Steve Karp in the 9. Grinder and Chino thought that was tweetworthy.
