Event 20: $100,000 Super High Roller Deep Stack NLH Champion – Jake Schindler

Heads up play lasts for over 2.5 hours, as neither player wants to relinquish their shot at becoming the SHRPO Super High Roller Champ. And the nice $570,375 that goes along with it, of course.

Jake Schindler limps his button.  Ryan Fee goes all-in one final time and Schindler snaps him off. Fee sees the bad news when the cards are tabled:

Fee: 8s9s
Schindler: KhKd

Fee gets a miracle flop when it comes 4c8d9d, giving him 2 pair right in the window. However the turn comes the Kc, giving the lead back to Schindler with a set of Kings. The river is the As and Schindler is our 2014 SHRPO $100K Buy-In Super High Roller Deep Stack Champion!!! He takes home $570,375 for his work here the past 2 days, and the beautiful SHRPO trophy. Fee takes home a consolation prize of $307,125 for his runner up finish today.

2nd Place – Ryan Fee

Event 23: Bubble Burst 425829

$250 Pot Limit Omaha 8B (Re-Entry)

Level 19:  Blinds 4k/8k

Arnold Cohen – Bubble Boy

The bubble has burst and Arnold Cohen was the unfortunate player exiting in 10th place.

Now the final 9 are guaranteed a payday of at least $580.

Event 21: 9th Place – Barry Pevner 601x1f

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No-Limit Hold ‘Em (Re-Entry)

Level 17: Blinds 2k/4k/500 ante

Barry Pevner – 9th Place

Barry Pevner got all-in with the best of it holding AK and was dominating Derrick Simon’s AQ.

Then the board ran out K T 9 J 4 giving Derrick Broadway and the pot.  Barry busted out in 9th place, earning $2,824.

$250 Pot Limit Omaha 8B (Re-Entry)

Level 18:  Blinds 3k/6k

The final ten players have moved to a single table and are now battling to avoid the bubble, since only 9 get paid.

Here’s the lineup:

  1. Robert Campbell
  2. Errol Massey
  3. Jonah Miller
  4. Arnold Cohen
  5. Claudangelo Beaudouin
  6. George Boyadjian
  7. Kevin Love
  8. Mike Kase
  9. Eddie Ferreyra
  10. Carl Pipitone

Event 21: Figueroa Doubles Thru Davis 5f2q1l

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No-Limit Hold ‘Em (Re-Entry)

Level 17: Blinds 2k/4k/500 ante

Victor Figueroa was all-in pre-flop for 165,500 with action from Ian Davis, who had AQ suited.

The board came 8 7 6 2 J and was a safe one for Victor, who doubled up to ~350k.  Ian dropped to ~120k.

Event 21: Chip Counts 484l4i

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No-Limit Hold ‘Em (Re-Entry)
Level 16: Blinds 1500/3000/500 Ante

Here are the updated chips counts for the final nine players:

Ian O’Hara – 213,500
Steven Bennett – 158,000
Derrick Simon – 174,000
Victor Figueroa – 275,000
Jason Wheeler – 107,500
Ian Davis – 239,000
Blain Dermot – 142,500
Corey Burbick – 89,000
Barry Pevner – 104,500

The big story of Level 16 was Victor Figueroa. Figueroa came into the final table extremely short stacked. But a double with a Kd5d followed by cracking Jason Wheeler’s kings with queens on the river and then turning it around beating queens with kings to storm into the chip lead.

Cards will be back in play shortly.

Event 23: Yo Eleven! p60

$250 Pot Limit Omaha 8B (Re-Entry)

Level 17:  Blinds 2,500/5,000

The final 11 players are battling it out for a seat at the final table, which will form ten-handed.

Still in the mix are perennial favorites Joe Williams, Robert Campbell, and Errol Massey.

Event 20: Role Reversal 35u2b

$100,000 Super High Roller Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)
Level 10: 3K/6K/ 1K ante

Jacob Schindler

On a board showing 2h10c2s2d3h, Jacob Schindler is all-in. Ryan Fee goes deep into the tank for quite a while, but finally makes the call.

Fee: AsKd
Schindler: 10sJd

Fee was trying to pick off a bluff from Schindler with Ace high, but Schindler had the goods…a full house Deuces over Tens.

Schindler doubles to 656K, while Fee drops to 244K.

Event 21: McQuillan Eliminated in 10th Place ($2,510) 52451s

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No-Limit Hold ‘Em (Re-Entry)
Level 16: Blinds 1500/3000/500 Ante

Being short stacked has its disadvantages – including running into a big blind with chips.

Yvonne McQuillan pushed the last of the her chips in and Ian O’Hara decided the price was right and made the call.

McQuillan Jh9h
O’Hara 9s5s

An ominous board of 2s3c4s gave O’Hara a ton of outs. McQuillan survived the 2c but an 8s on the river gave O’Hara the flush and ended McQuillan’s tournament on a sour note. McQuillan adds another final table to her series and $2,510.

Yvonne McQuillan – $2,510
