RECAP
Today’s Pot Limit Omaha High/Low event played out in just under 13 hours. It was over when the final five players decided they would chop up the remaining prize pool evenly. As the chip leader, 1st place, the trophy, and framed photo went to local poker pro Robert Campbell.
The other four spots were awarded by chip count:
2nd – Errol Massey $3,168
3rd – Kevin Love $3,168
4th – George Boyadjian $3,168
5th – Claudangelo Beaudouin $3,168
This event drew 92 players on the next-to-last day of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open. The final nine players earned a piece of the prize pool.
“This series is great,” said Campbell. “Too bad we can’t play in this room all the time.” He has several cashes during this series including a 5th place finish in the PLO/NLH event. He finished 30th in the WSOP Main Event this summer for over $230,000.
Campbell earned player of the series back in the Spring and is currently 6th on the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year Leaderboard with 1,494 points. He’ll pick up some more tonight, but doesn’t know if he’ll be able to catch leader Angel Vu. He’s going to give it a try, however, and will be back tomorrow on the final day to play whatever events are running.

What was starting to look like an amazing comeback story finally came up short.
Blain Dermot was crippled by Corey Burbick and was down to 1000 chips but managed to scrap his way over 30,000 including a humorous fold to Jason Wheeler with 5,000 of his remaining 8,500 in on his big blind so his friend couldn’t bust him. It turned to be a good fold as he outlasted Ian Davis and moved up the pay ladder.
Dermot took a stab with but ran in a full house tens full of sevens and that ended the night for Dermot. He wins $5,020 today.
Six players remaining fighting for the Event 21 title.
On the last hand of this level, Mike Kase was all-in pre-flop for his last 13k which was called by four players. They checked down the board.
At showdown, Mike had a flush for the high and the nut low. George Boyadjian had the same nut low and got a quarter of the pot while Mike took three-quarters.
