Just a few hands after Kuether’s elimination, the table played another big hand.
Dolan limped from the small blind and Colman checked his option to the flop. They both checked the flop and Dolan checked again after the turn. Colman bet out 700,000 and Dolan called after a short tank.
The river came , Dolan checked once again and Colman put him all-in. Dolan took plenty of time to think it through and finally tossed in calling chips to see Colman had rivered a straight on the river with . His second pair was the end of his tournament.
John Dolan had built his stack up nicely over the first two levels of the day. It was one of the few big hands to finish on the river over the last few days and it was John Dolan on the wrong end to go out in 4th place for $548,763. Colman extended to a huge lead at the three-handed final table.

Moe Maghraoui made Day 2 of Event 22 ($150 NLH) but that didn’t start until 5pm, so he entered Event 24 ($200 Big Stack NLH) which started at 12 noon.
He’s still alive in both events, so he’s moving back and forth between tables. Moe is currently 5th on the series leaderboard (points thru 9/1) and 4th on the POY leaderboard, so he’s hoping to pile up some more points on today, the last day of the series and the last day of the POY points race!
Wally Maddah is apparently doing the same thing, according to his latest tweet:

Joe Kuether’s comeback was short-lived when he ran into Dan Colman shortly after the second break. Kuether limped from the button and Colman raised to 525,000 from the small blind.
Kuether called and they went to the flop to set off the fireworks. Colman bet 500,000 and Kuether moved all-in with top pair but needed help after Colman snap called with .
The turn meant Kuether needed one of the two remaining Jack but whiffed the to be the 5th place finisher for $424,044 while Colman took the chip lead.
Dan Colman – 16,350,000
Mike Leah – 11,600,000

A lot of checking, calling, raising and folding going on in this heads-up battle. One of the bigger hands that played out was when Derrick Simon led out for 50K from the button on a board showing . Ian O’Hara then raised for 80K on top. Simon tanks for a bit, then decides to muck his cards. Wow.

It was Joe Kuether’s time to take a shot at getting back in the game and he found a big hand to get it done. Kuether opened for a min-raise and Cunix three-bet to 1,008,000 from the small blind.
Kuether called all-in with the best hand after Mike Leah let his big blind go.
Kuether:
Cunix:
Cunix was behind with a chance to lose all the ground he gained earlier. The dealer did him so favors on the flop and he shipped chips over to Kuether after the board finished .
