Jason Mo

On a flop showing 9c2d7s Jason Mo goes all-in, and Ryan Fee makes the call.

Fee: Qc9h
Mo: Kd9d

Both have top pair of nines, but Mo has the superior kicker. The turn and river are the Jd3c and Mo’s better pair of nines with the King kicker hold up to double up his stack through Fee.

Here are the updated chip counts for the final 4:

Seiver – 362K
Fee – 189K
Schindler – 186
Mo – 162K

Event 21: Van Sanford Out in 17th ($1,883) 193s64

Level 12: Blinds 600/1200/200 Ante

The next to last hand of Level 12 brings a brutal beat to Ryan Van Sanford and ends his day here at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open.

Van Sanford holding AhAd unfortunately ran into an 9s5s which both paired on the flop for his opponent. Sanford went for it and saw the bad news. Van Sanford picks up $1,883 for the 17th place result.

Championship: 8th Place – Brian Hawkins w461d

$5,300 Championship NLH $10 Million Guaranteed (Re-Entry)
Level 30: Blinds 40k/80k/10k ante

The hits keep coming. It was another multi-way pot when Brian Hawkins opened to 170,000 and was called by Dan Colman on the button along with Shawn Cunix and Mike Leah in the blinds.

Cunix and Leah checked the 9s8h7s flop and Hawkins moved in with his last 1,270,000. Colman casually called the bet and the other two eventually folded. Hawkins’ top pair Kd9d was in danger against Colman’s cool AhAc and he never caught up on the turn or river to go out in 8th place for $199,550. Colman now sits with more than 10 million in front.

They are now on the live-stream final table bubble, one more elimination and they can call it an early day.

Brian Hawkins

Event 20: Arieh Ousted 3b2r6c

$100,000 Super High Roller Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

We have a 3 way all-in pre-flop between Jason Mo, Josh Arieh, and Scott Seiver. Seiver has both opponents covered. The cards are tabled:

Mo: AsQs
Seiver: AhKh
Arieh: AdKc

The board rolls out 6s5h3s9s9c, and Jason Mo rakes in the big pot after making the nut flush, in the process also knocking out Josh Arieh in 5th place .

The bubble finally burst in Event 21 and then a we had a quick casualty as Jorge Ribiero went out in 18th place.

Ribiero picks up $1,883 dollars for his efforts.

Championship: 9th Place – Roman Valerstein 3i262g

$5,300 Championship NLH $10 Million Guaranteed (Re-Entry)
Level 30: Blinds 40k/80k/10k ante

Roman Valerstein was involved in one of the craziest hands of the tournament and it didn’t work out well from him. Mike Leah opened the action for a min-raise from early position and created a near-family pot when John Dolan, Martin Hanowski, Brian Hawkins, and Joe Kuether all came along for the ride.

Valerstein decided to take a shot at the pot and raised to 760,000. Leah eyed up the few remaining chips in Valerstein’s stack and put in another bet to 1,200,000. Everyone else got the hint to let their hand go before Valerstein said “oops” and “ok”.

It was unclear whether Valerstein was actually all-in but floor staff ruled he was indeed at risk. His “oops” declaration was correct when he showed KcJh against Leah’s AsKh.

The Td3s2h flop changed little but Valerstein picked up an open-ended straight draw with the Qd turn. The 4c river couldn’t save him and Valerstein was gone in 9th place for $149,663.
