As we remain with only our two players in the room stil duking it out in near silence, the current other personnel in the room are hanging out waiting for something to give.

Still in attendance are our tournament photographer, two bloggers, four of security, seven staff , our current dealer and of course – Aditya’s dad.

Not much has changed since our last update and these two could be headed for a return tomorrow to continue heads-up play.

Recap:

The final major event of the 2014 Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open” was a $300 buy-in No Limit Hold’em tournament with $100 from each entrant going to a bounty on their head. After more than 13 hours of play, Nick Pupillo picked up his second title in two days and the $8,464 that went with it.

The one-day tournament drew 182 entrants for a $28,210 prize pool plus another $18,200 in available bounties. The tournament quickly played down to the last three tables in less than six hours before slowing down on the money bubble.

It took 10 rounds of hand-for-hand action before Joseph Patalano lost a race with Queens versus the Big Slick of Mike Dinardo. The pace picked up speed once they were in the money and players dropped fast until Ariel Rosello’s elimination formed the final table.

Tyler Thren was the major threat during most of the final table action but the rest caught up to him once they were four-handed. Thren went from top to bottom before crashing out in 3rd place.

The heads up match could have been a drawn out affair but Pupillo quickly erased Jeffrey Postal’s early lead. It ended in less than one level when Pupillo’s flopped two pair turned into a full house to give him another tournament victory.

Pupillo is on quite a heater after winning a Deepstacks Extravanga event on November 14 and Event 17 Big Stack Turbo here just over 24 hours ago.

“It was a great structure.” Pupillo commented. “It was great for a one day tournament.”

The tired Pupillo collected his trophy, payout ticket, plus the six black chip bounties in his pocket to get some rest before he flies back to Chicago in the morning.

Event 18: Another Hour In The Books 2u61

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 20:  Blinds 4,000/8,000/1000 ante

It’s the irresistible force agaisnt the immovable object.

After about 90 minutes of heads-up play, Aditya Prasetyo and Patrick Peduto are still very deep and playing small ball.   Prasetyo has also continued to slowly eat away at Peduto’s stack.

Peduto now holds around 900,000 chips to Prasetyo a little over 400,000.  It’s been a battle of wills that will keep rolling as these two try to bring home the Event 18 title.

Event 20: Pupillo Wins 2nd Title in Two Days 426yv

$300 Deep Stack Black Chip Bounty No Limit Holdem (Re-Entry)
Level 27: Blinds 25,000/50,000/5,000 ante

Nick Pupillo had a small chip deficit against Jeffrey Postal but he quickly erased it, took a commanding lead, and then finished it off.

The two got all the chips in the middle with Pupillo dominating Postal with AcKc versus KhQs. It was a dry, drama-free 9s9d6c2c8c board to push Pupillo into a 11-to-1 lead.

Postal managed to double a few hands later when he limped on the button with AcAh to get a shove from Pupillo but it was soon over.

They both were in for the minimum to the Th8h6h flop when Postal was all-in with a flush draw Kc3h against Pupillo’s bottom two 8d6d. The tournament ended on the full house 6c turn and Postal was done in runner-up position.

This is the second tournament win in as many days for Pupillo who won the Event 17 turbo a little more than 24 hours ago.

Event 18: Father And Son 2621w

$1,650 Purple Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 19:  Blinds 3,000/6,000/1000 ante

With both players massively deep, we can report that Aditya Prasetyo has been able to swing about 150,000 chips his way halfway though this level.  Prasetyo has been slowing grinding away trying to make a comeback to win Event 18.

With only two players left playing in the entire room, one fan has stuck it out – Aditya’s father, Rudi.  He’s been here this entire final table quietly standing by his son.  With like that, you can’t go wrong win or lose.

Aditya and Rudi

Event 20: Tyler Thren- 3rd Place ($3,188) 4j1y4v

$300 Deep Stack Black Chip Bounty No Limit Holdem (Re-Entry)
Level 27: Blinds 25,000/50,000/5,000 ante

The roller coaster ride is over to Tyler Thren shortly after he moved back into the lead. It took just two hands and Jeffrey Postal did all the hard work.

Postal first doubled through Thren after his they both flopped a Queen but Postal had him outkicked to send a large chunk of chips his way.

Shortly after, Thren moved all-in for his final 425,000 with 7c6d and Postal called with Ad4d. Thren added a gutshot straight draw on the Kc9h5s flop then missed as the board ran out Ts4s to send the former leader out in 3rd place for $3,188.

Postal (2,200,000) and Nick Pupillo (1,400,000) are now heads up for the title.

Tyler Thren

Event 20: Scott Hart – 4th Place ($2,059) 606s2w

$300 Deep Stack Black Chip Bounty No Limit Holdem (Re-Entry)
Level 26: Blinds 15,000/30,000/5,000 ante

No sooner was the publish button hit than they played another pot and Tyler Thren is back in the lead.

He moved all-in for 425,000 and Scott Hart called behind with just a few less chips. Nick Pupillo found something interesting and also called from the big blind.

Thren was ahead with 8s8c against Hart’s KsJs and Pupillo’s AsKc. Thren put a stranglehold on the hand thanks to the Ah8d3s leaving the other two looking for miracle running cards.

The Jc left both drawing dead to send Scott Hart

Scott Hart

out in 4th place for $2,059 while Thren almost tripled his stack.
