While the Big 4 was rolling along this weekend, we had to keep our Omaha players happy and put together a Mix Pot-Limit Omaha tournament with a $1,100 buy-in and tough field. When all was settled, Hollywood regular Matt Bretzfield was posing with another trophy and taking home $20,165.
Bretzfield pulled off a remarkable feat with this title; he earned back-to-back wins in the same game, this one going along nicely with his $400 Mixed PLO win from the Poker Showdown a few months ago.
And just like that win, this title had extra meaning for Bretzfield.
“I dedicated that win to my dad who had just ed away,” he said. “I just lost my aunt three weeks ago, she was like a mother to me.”
