Andrew Moreno  placed out 575,000 preflop from the button and left 25,000 behind. Olivier Rebello called to cover him from the small blind.

The flop was dealt 9s3h2c, and both players checked to the Jh on the turn. Olivier bet 75,000, and Moreno used a time chip before calling all in. The two players then flipped over their cards.

River: 8s

Moreno was eliminated in 15th place, good for $32,500, and Rebello stacked up 1.7 million after collecting the pot.

Raminder Singh

Raminder Singh opened to 140,000 from under the gun, Benny Glaser called next to act, and the rest of the table folded.

The flop was AhJs2c, Singh continued for 110,000 and Glaser called. The turn was 3h and both players checked. The river was Tc and Singh bet 205,000. Glaser thought for a minute, bet 1,050,000 and it was Singh turn to think.

He called the bet, Glaser showed KhJh for a pair of jacks and Singh quickly flipped up the better As8s for a pair of aces and a big pot.

Raminder Singh – 8,400,000 (140 bb)
Benny Glaser – 5,200,000 (87 bb)

Benny Glaser

With the flop reading Tc8c8d, Brian Hastings bet 90,000 from the big blind and Benny Glaser called on the button. The turn was Jh, Hastings bet another 300,000 and Glaser called.

The river was 2s, Hastings bet what looked like about 1,100,000, leaving 25K behind, then quickly folded when Glaser announced all in.

Hastings mucked, Glaser quickly flashed his cards which someone said was quads (with zero confirmation), and Hastings was all in from the small blind the next hand.

Hastings continued to fight, found two double ups, and went on the first break with his stack back up to 500K. So giving it a run.

Benny Glaser – 6,680,000 (111 bb)
Brian Hastings – 500,000 (8 bb)

Championship: A Cavalcade of Short Stack Doubles Start the Day 4q5f1j

Level 25:  30,000/60,000 with a 60,000 ante
Players Remaining:  16 of 1,188

In a rapid fire lineup of bustouts to start the final day of play with many players coming back with less than 10 big blinds, the following has happened during the expected early chaos that has transpired in a matter of minutes.

Joel Deutsch doubled up extremely short with pocket sevens against the Qd10s of big stack Jonathan Jaffe on a runout of 9h6s2hAh2c.

Up next was Toby Joyce getting all in for 1.1 million with pocket nines, and Justin Datloff had him covered holding AdQc. Pocket pairs won the day again as Joyce survived.

After that, it was short stack Mitch Garshofsky who got all in with Ah7c, which held against the Jd10s of Dan Martin.

Garshofsky found another short double when the consistency of pocket pairs early today survived again. This time it was pocket sevens up against the Ah10c of Jaffe. The board bricked out to let the short stack survive, and here we still are with 16 players in the mix.

As a matter of record in this streamlined post about a multiverse of double ups … a repeating theme while all of this has been happening is the shove with almost nothing left behind from the player on a short stack followed by tanking on multiple time chips before finally getting all of the chips in the middle.
