$570 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry) End of Level 14: 1,200/2,400 with 400 Ante Players Remaining: 143 of 807 2bt9
The starting flights are complete in the $570 Deep Stack, and the Day 2 field is set.
As expected, the “D” starting flight was the largest of the four, drawing a crowd of 272 entries. That brought the total field to an impressive 807 across all flights, smashing the guarantee and putting a prizepool of more than $400,000 up for grabs.
David Maslowski bagged up the biggest stack from Day 1D, finishing the night with 304,500 chips. That’s only good enough for fourth place overall, though, as he and everyone else are far in trail of Day 1A chip leader Nicholas Mahabee and his monster stack of 464,000. Mahabee is already a two-time winner in this building, with one of those victories coming in another big re-entry event earlier this year, and he’s put himself in a fine position once again this time around.
Here’s the rest of the overnight top five:
1: Nicholas Mahabee – 464,000
2: Gaston Miculitzki – 375,000
3: Evan Teitelbaum – 358,500
4: David Maslowski – 304,500
5: Raminder Singh – 282,500
Among the long list of notables who’ve punched their Day 2 tickets are five of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Team: Wally Maddah (185,000), Darryll Fish (98,500), Jessica Dawley (78,000), Michael Laake (77,500), and Mukul Pahuja (27,500).
The full Day 2 chip counts and seat draw are available in the posts preceding this one.
A total of 143 players advanced, and they’ll return Wednesday to play for the trophy and the top prize of more than $90,000. Cards go in the air at 1:00 PM, and action will continue until a winner is determined (which will likely be early on Thanksgiving morning). Blinds will be 1,500/3,000 with a 500 ante when play resumes, putting the average stack just under 40 big blinds.
